But I’m not someone who naturally loves structure. My brain has always been loud, fast, and full of ideas. For years, ADHD made staying organised feel like something everyone else had figured out.
I tried systems that looked beautiful and worked perfectly… until real life happened.
So I started building around how I actually work, instead of how I thought I was supposed to work.
Five countries. Different jobs. The same problem.
I grew up in Venezuela and studied IT, but the crisis in my home country changed my plans. I left school, moved abroad, and started again.
Life took me through Ecuador, the UAE, Spain, and eventually Canada. Along the way, I worked in hospitality, aviation, and operations.
Different jobs, different languages, different pressures. But I kept seeing the same thing: capable people trying to do good work with scattered information and systems that made everything harder.
The tools were often powerful. They just weren’t easy to live with.
Service came before systems
Working for Emirates taught me to pay attention to the person having the experience, not just the process behind it.
Under pressure, the small details matter. Can someone find what they need? Is the next step clear? Do they feel taken care of?
Those are still the questions I ask when I build a workspace.
Then Notion clicked
Notion gave me the flexibility to create one home base that made sense to my brain.
That led me to co-found Notioneers, where I spent four years building the business and designing systems for clients across industries.
Eventually, I chose to work independently. Today, I work under my own name: Tammy Hazel.
